DeWalt ToughSystem VW Van Installation – a Toolstop Guide

You don’t always get off-the-shelf products that meet all of your requirements.

That’s life.

So when that happens, it’s time to take matters into your own hands and create something that will tick all of your boxes. Particularly if one of your boxes is a passion for DeWalt power tools.

That was the situation that Julian Collins found himself in.

Here’s what you need to know about Julian in 3 easy steps:

1. he’s a gifted carpenter (you can see him talking about one of his favourite power tools on Toolstop TV)
2. he’s nuts about VW vans
3. he’s nuts about DeWalt power tools

What Julian wanted was a bespoke way to store his DeWalt power tools in his VW van. You can see the van in this video on Toolstop TV.

His solution was to design and build a frame that would be bolted into the body of his van and would then allow him to securely fasten the DeWalt’s ToughSystem boxes in place.
