Bosch Lawn and Garden Tools – Get Ready for Summer

We admit the British Summer is a fickle beast. Who knows what we’ll get?

Regardless of what’s in store, having our gardens primed and ready to go means that when the sun does make an appearance, we can be firing up the BBQ and chilling some beers rather than frantically trying to find an extension lead for your dad’s hand-me-down lawn mower.

In this guide, we’ll look at some great lawn and garden tools from Bosch that combine the German brand’s eye for ergonomics with no-nonsense “get the job done right” power and features.

With a massive cutting width of 43cm, the Rotak 43Li Ergoflex is built to make short work of whipping your jungle of a lawn into barbershop-like neatness in no time. Slide in the supplied 36v lithium-ion battery and you’ll have enough juice on tap via the award-winning Ergoflex handles to sort out a 600m² lawn, stripes and all!

Bosch has engineered 6 cutting heights that will cover you from first cut all the way through to those lovely maintenance trims throughout summer, and the company promises that the 50-litre cuttings box will catch around 99% of the clippings.

It’s a pretty smart mower too, fitted with Bosch’s Syneon Chip, which safely manages the current, the motor and the battery, protecting everything from overload.

Bosch AHS54-20LI 36V 54cm Cordless Hedgecutter

Powered by the same 36v lithium-ion battery as the Rotak 43Li, Bosch’s 54cm, laser cut, diamond ground, blade hedgecutter is another great tool to have ready in the shed when your hedges, bushes, and shrubs need a tidy up.

Especially so as it features 20mm tooth spacing, allowing you to tackle thicker branches. And the motor benefits from “Anti-Blocking System”, which reverses the direction of the cut until the branch has been sheared or shuts the motor down to prevent overload.

At the tip of the blade, Bosch has engineered a saw area which, when branches come into contact with it, will chop through branches up to 25mm in thickness.

The motor is activated via the wrap-around safety switch, which not only ensures the cutter can’t accidentally be turned on but also allows for a comfortable grip, regardless of the angle you’re cutting at.
